    1. In a saucepan, combine the oats, almond (or soya) milk, ground flaxseed and honey (if using). Heat over a medium heat.
    2. Stir constantly until the oats are cooked through and the mixture has a creamy consistency.
    3. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the mixture into a bowl.
    4. Top the oats with the fresh berries, banana slices and almonds (or walnuts).
    5. Serve with a cup of chamomile tea or ginger herbal tea, if you like. These infusions have soothing properties for the stomach.
    1. Pour the instant oats into a microwave-safe bowl or container.
    2. Add the almond milk or soya milk and mix well.
    3. Heat the mixture in the microwave for the time indicated on the instant oatmeal packaging (generally 1 to 2 minutes).
    4. Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and add the ground flax seeds. Stir to incorporate.
    5. Add the honey or maple syrup (if desired) and stir again.
    6. Add the frozen berries. The hot oatmeal will thaw them quickly.
    7. Slice the banana and arrange on top of the bowl.
    8. Add a small handful of almonds or walnuts for a crunchy touch.
    9. If you like, prepare a cup of chamomile tea or ginger herbal tea in an insulated mug to take with you.
